There were so many things I loved about this blog but because I tend to be a blabbermouth I will keep it short. “That day, I decided to run for the delicious bits of life.” Loved it! Also a huge fan of Gazella DeVil. Can you please create a character for her…and have her show up in future blogs!
I clicked ‘Follow’ with great relish and look forward to more. PS – I hate running ๐
I have given you a nomination and a “shout out” for the “Very Inspiring Blogger Award”. It is entirely up to yourself if you accept or not. You have a great blog, and hoping to send more readers your way!
Sincerely,
~Carl~
I love your blog. I’ve been following for a little while, but I just joined a team to train for a 5k and had my first run last night (if you can call it that.. we ran up a hill a number of timesโฆ I died).
So this morning when I woke up I thought, I’ll check Fleck’s blog, she’ll have something inspiring/ hilarious to say – and I was right!
Thanks for helping to inspire this new adventure, and for sharing your struggles & successes – it gives me confidence and hope! ๐
Thank you so, SO much for the complement! Stick with it – anyone who tells you “I just fell in love with running from the start” is a liar. Everyone hates it for the first while. I had someone tell me once that the first 5K and the last 5K of any race are the worst. At the time I thought he was crazy, but once I broke my first 10K I completely understood what he meant.
Trust me, if I can run, anyone can. Dig deep, my friend! ๐
Hi, Jimmy! I am still out running but have been neglectful of the blog lately. I am hoping to get back at it soon – I have more stories to tell! Thanks for the kind words of withdrawal. And check back soon! I’ll have more posts, I promise!
I only found your blog because my fiancรฉ’s last name is Fleck. Love your writing and the cartoons. As for running, well, this pretty much sums it up: I never run with scissors (…and the last two words are unnecessary!)

Fleck…where’d you go? Running or no running, I’m going through stick-figure-blog-post withdrawal here (SFBPW). It’s a real thing, I swear.
